Background and Identification

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance (also known by its model number, GT-I9070) is an Android smartphone released in April 2012 as an “advanced” variant to the original Galaxy S. The Galaxy S Advance is also known as the Samsung Galaxy S II Lite.

The Galaxy S Advance includes a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 by 800 pixels for a pixel density of 233 pixels per inch. It features a dual-core processor running at 1 GHz with 768 MB of RAM and either 8 GB or 16 GB of internal storage. The phone also has a dedicated microSDHC slot that allows users to expand the phone’s internal storage. The Galaxy S Advance includes a five-megapixel main camera and a 1.3-megapixel selfie camera. It contains a 1500 mAh removable battery, meaning its battery is not attached to the inside of the phone with any kind of permanent adhesive, making repair and replacement easier than for non-removable batteries.

The Galaxy S Advance was released in black and white body colors. It includes the name “Samsung” in capital letters in the center of the phone’s top bezel and a rectangular home button in the center of the phone’s bottom bezel. It features the Android three-button navigation system, meaning it includes a back button on the right side of the home button and a ‘see-all-open-applications’ button on the left side of the home button.
